10 Cloverfield Lane

Year:
2016
What did I think of it?:

I saw this movie with absolute no expectation (except the possible link to the 2008 movie Cloverfield, and the trailers I had seen on television).

I have to say that this movie is absolute the bomb, Goodman is a great actor, and the suspense is being built from the first second, without absolutely no clue what's going on in the outside world, except what Goodman is telling us, from within his shelter. Is it true, or isn't it true?

All that suspense is gone, the moment the woman steps out of that shelter (which is approximately the last 15 minutes of the movie) and breaks it down completely. Without that part, I would given it an 8!

Hidden

Year:
2015
What did I think of it?:

This is a story of a family, father, mother and their 7-year old daughter, who live in a bomb shelter for 300 days, where they try to hide (hence the title of the movie) of some unseen enemy, called the 'Breathers'. These breathers apparently try to find (and destroy: our main characters are afraid of them) survivors.

The story is tense, the acting is decent, and there's a twist :)

I liked it a lot.

Zoombies

Year:
2016
What did I think of it?:

Well, we already have our share of zombie movies and series, good ones, like The Walking Dead, and bad ones, like World War Z (actually, I read the book, and after that the movie became bad, it was quite amusing).

This movie falls within the latter category (for those who lost me: it's bad!).

This movie contains zombie monkeys, zombie giraffes, zombie lions, zombie ducks, zombie koalas, and they're all attacking humans, and they're all looking crappy (as proof, wait until you see the CGI elephants).
Furthermore, I like my zombies to be slow, but these m*therf*ckers are very, very fast.

Ow, and almost bulletproof.
